Founded in 1900 and designed by legendary architect James Braid, West Essex is a 6,385-yard championship parkland course playing to par 71 through Epping Forest. The course's routing features a tight, tree-lined front nine and a longer, more open back nine, with water hazards and sharp elevation changes creating a strategic test; the 5th hole, at just 159 yards, features England's smallest championship green.
