St George's Hill is a 27-hole heathland course laid out by the distinguished architect H.S. Colt in 1913 across the woodland of a Surrey estate. Colt's original design, which famously transformed dense forest into playable holes with minimal tree clearance, remains largely intact today, preserving the character that drew admiration from golf writer Bernard Darwin for its integration of natural features.
