Opened in 1976 to a design by Neil Coles and Brian Huggett, Silvermere is a parkland course defined by tree-lined fairways and strategic water hazards, most notably the dramatic finishing holes that arc over Silvermere Lake with an island green at the 18th. The site holds distinctive history: Barnes Wallis, inventor of the bouncing bomb, conducted trials here during the Second World War. A challenging course demanding competent play, it offers club and buggy hire alongside a bar and bistro with lakeside views.
