Founded in 1906 and designed by James Braid, Southport and Ainsdale is a championship-calibre heathland course that winds through coastal dunes and gorse on England's Golf Coast. The club has hosted the Ryder Cup twice (1933 and 1937) and numerous major amateur and professional tournaments, most recently The Amateur Championship in 2023, cementing its status among Britain's finest courses.
