Traditional seaside links on the Essex coast laid out by Willie Park Jnr in 1904, with one of England's oldest purpose-built clubhouses.
A brief history
Frinton Golf Club was founded in 1895 and the current course was laid out in 1904 by Willie Park Junior, twice winner of the Open Championship and one of the most influential golf course architects of his era. The clubhouse is among the oldest purpose-built golf clubhouses in England and gives the club a unique sense of continuity with the early years of the game. The course has hosted regional championships through its long history and is regarded as one of the finest true links experiences in the south-east of England, helped by its location on the unspoilt Frinton coast.
