Founded in 1889 following a Burns Night celebration, Epsom is a traditional downland course perched on top of the Downs offering panoramic views across London on clear days. At 5,780 yards with a par of 70, it rewards skill and guile over distance, with its legendary fast and undulating greens presenting the primary test; the chalk subsoil ensures excellent drainage, allowing regular play when many other courses are closed.
