Undulating parkland course set on a hillside in South Benfleet with views across the Thames Estuary toward Kent.
A brief history
Boyce Hill Golf Club was founded in 1922, part of the wave of clubs that sprung up across south Essex in the years immediately after the First World War as suburban populations grew along the new railway lines into London. The course was laid out on the hillside above South Benfleet, taking advantage of the natural topography and the views down across the Thames Estuary. The club has retained its members' character throughout its history and the layout remains broadly faithful to its inter-war origins, with mature trees now framing what would once have been more open ground.
