Founded in 1928, a parkland course centred on the historic Upminster Hall clubhouse with the River Ingrebourne winding through several holes.
A brief history
Upminster Golf Club was founded in 1928, with the historic Upminster Hall serving as the clubhouse from the club's earliest days. The hall is a Grade II listed building with origins dating back several centuries, giving the club one of the most distinctive and historic clubhouses in Essex. The course was laid out across the grounds of the hall with the River Ingrebourne winding through several holes, providing natural water hazards and a distinctive parkland character. The club has retained its traditional members' identity throughout its history and remains a settled fixture of the east London commuter golf scene.
