Stinchcombe Hill occupies a commanding position on the Cotswold Escarpment, delivering commanding views across the Severn Valley from its 18 holes. The course opened as nine holes in 1889 and expanded to eighteen by 1906, with a complete redesign by Fred Hawtree and further refinements by James Braid establishing the layout that golfers enjoy today.
