England's oldest golf course, Royal North Devon was designed by Old Tom Morris in 1864 and received its Royal charter from the future King Edward VII in 1867. Played over common land at Northam Burrows with sheep and horses roaming freely, this traditional links presents undulating terrain, firm fairways, and expansive bunkers that remain as challenging today as in Victorian times, all framed by views across the Bristol Channel.
