Founded in 1895 and relocated to Furzebeam Hill in 1932, Great Torrington is a nine-hole heathland and parkland course set across open common land in rural North Devon. The triangular layout measures 4,458 yards for eighteen holes and is characterised by sloping fairways cut through gorse and scattered trees, with challenging green complexes that echo the traditional style in which golf was first played in Britain.
