About the course

Founded in 1780, Royal Aberdeen is the sixth oldest golf club in the world and occupies classic links land at Balgownie, north of Aberdeen. Originally designed by the Simpson Brothers and later refined by James Braid, the course has hosted major championships including the 2011 Walker Cup and 2014 AAM Scottish Open, drawing the world's leading amateurs and professionals to test themselves on one of Scotland's most demanding layouts.
