Founded in 1891 and originally designed by the legendary Tom Morris, Mitcham is a parkland course of 5,935 yards with a par of 69 set on common land just 12 miles from central London. The club is celebrated for its immaculate greens, a legacy of the underlying gravel base that aids drainage, and its strategic design that demands accurate shot-making despite modest length; remarkably accessible by rail and car, it offers golfers both challenge and tranquillity within earshot of the capital.
