Leek Golf Club, established in 1892 and one of the country's oldest, has occupied its Big Birchall home since 1923 when Tom Williamson designed the course. The layout has remained virtually intact since opening, testament to its enduring quality, a quality that earned Harry Vardon's apparent approval during his 1924 inspection. Set in the Staffordshire Moorlands with tree-lined fairways and undulating greens, it welcomes visitors and operates an active academy and coaching programme.
