Founded in 1892 and set within a heathland nature reserve, Isle of Purbeck comprises two courses totalling 27 holes and commands arguably the finest views in English golf, with the fifth tee overlooking Poole Harbour from a Bronze Age burial ground. The Purbeck Championship Course offers a traditional test among gorse and heather, whilst the nine-hole Dene provides a gentler introduction, and both are framed by rare flora and fauna within an area of outstanding natural beauty.
