About the course

Darwen Golf Club, founded in 1893, combines parkland and moorland over eighteen holes with commanding views across Lancashire towards the coast. The front nine borders Sunnyhurst Woodland with water hazards and bunkers, while the back nine rises into moorland terrain with more undulating slopes. The club is notably the birthplace of Dick Burton, winner of the 1939 Open Championship and a three-time Ryder Cup player, whose clubs remain on display.
