About the course

Bury St Edmunds Golf Club has been golfing since 1924, when Ted Ray, the first British Ryder Cup captain and winner of the Open and US Open, designed the original layout. The 18-hole championship course stretches to 6,676 yards off the white tees, making it Suffolk's second longest, and frequently hosts regional competitions. The club operates a second 9-hole pay-and-play course and maintains strong year-round playability across both layouts, with all profits reinvested into course and facility improvements as a member-owned operation.
