Founded in 1888, Royal Ashdown Forest is a traditional members' club featuring two natural 18-hole courses set within the Ashdown Forest in East Sussex. The heathland Old Course, famously bunkerless and ranked among the top hundred in Britain and Ireland, has remained largely unchanged over its 130 years, relying on heather, streams and narrow fairways to challenge golfers, whilst the West Course winds through mature woodland and was recognised by Golf World as the UK's leading short-course destination.
