Ampfield is an 18-hole par three course founded in the early 1960s and designed by Sir Henry Cotton, the three-time major champion. At 2,314 yards with its longest hole at 181 yards, it was the original course of its type in the country and has been recognised as the fourth best short course nationally. The privately owned club welcomes visitors, societies and corporate groups throughout the week, with rounds typically taking two hours.
