Westgate & Birchington is a long-established coastal club founded in 1893 on former farmland near the Isle of Thanet, expanded from six holes to its current 18-hole layout by 1919. The compact 4,877-yard course, set between Westgate-on-Sea and Birchington with views across the cliffs to the sea, remains in year-round condition and demands accuracy on small greens, particularly in windy conditions.
