Severiano Ballesteros designed The Shire London as his sole full course in the UK, opening in 2007 with 18 holes arranged in six par threes, fours and fives, each nine presenting a different par sequence and incorporating links, parkland and water hazards. The course's dramatic 18th hole culminates in an S-shaped lake, while the venue combines competitive golf with an accessible, unpretentious atmosphere, hosting corporate events, weddings and charity golf days.
