About the course

Sleaford Golf Club was established in March 1905 and began play the following year on a nine-hole course designed by Tom Williamson, a noted professional golfer and future English International captain. The course was extended to 18 holes in 1911, and by then the club had already hosted a celebrated match between Open Champion J H Taylor and Harry Vardon, the inventor of the Vardon Grip.
