Royal Mid-Surrey has occupied royal parkland beside the River Thames since 1892, with two 18-hole courses shaped by the legendary JH Taylor and later redesigned by Martin Ebert to USGA standards. The club's long history includes hosting major national championships and championing women's and junior golf, though its 2003 rebuild brought a more welcoming, family-oriented character to this private members' club minutes from Richmond.
