At 1,284 feet above sea level, Kington is England's highest 18-hole course, designed by Major Cecil Hutchison in 1926 on National Trust moorland. The heathland terrain offers fast-draining turf and unrivalled panoramic views across seven historic counties, with a demanding layout defended by contoured grass bunkers, gorse, and fern rather than conventional hazards.
