Originally meadowland transformed into parkland over 30 years, Horsley Lodge stretches across 164 acres with a Roman road running through it and stones from the ruined Horsley Castle incorporated into its structure. Water features prominently on most holes via two brooks dammed to create lakes, while mature trees now frame each hole, and the USGA greens and surrounds, remodeled by World Champion Peter McEvoy in 1998, reward precision play from golfers of varying abilities.
