Horsforth Golf Club's 18-hole parkland course was established in 1906 by local residents and designed by Dr Alistair Mackenzie, who refined rough moorland into mature grounds characterised by tree-lined fairways and challenging par 3s. The course has evolved through modifications by James Braid and decades of tree planting, with recent refurbishment enhancing bunker design and tee placement, whilst two former water authority reservoirs mark the boundary of this well-maintained test of golf.
