Harwood Golf Club, founded in 1926 by four local shopkeepers on the edge of the West Pennine Moors, is an 18-hole moorland course offering scenic countryside views and a varied layout across 5,937 yards at par 70. The club, which nearly folded in 1933 before being rescued by its captain, has developed into a thriving venue welcoming members, visitors, and societies, with full facilities including a restaurant, bar, and buggy hire.
