James Braid extended this Middlesex course to 18 holes in 1921, having opened originally as a nine-hole layout in 1910 with Sir William S Gilbert as its first president. Set on rolling terrain, the club houses memorabilia belonging to 19th-century Open Champions Willie Park and his brother Mungo, and welcomes visitors alongside a friendly membership community.
