About the course

Glamorganshire Golf Club was founded in 1890 as the first golf club in industrial south-east Wales, established on clay-based farmland at Lower Penarth. The club gained international significance as the birthplace of the Stableford scoring system through early member Dr Frank Stableford, and hosted the Welsh Amateur Championship and the inaugural Welsh Ladies Championship during its formative years.
