Founded in 1935 by Charles McKenzie on land selected by James Braid, Fulford is a parkland course near York that hosted European Tour events through the 1960s to 1990s, establishing a reputation for championship-standard condition and quality. Though only three miles from the city, the layout transitions from parkland through gorse and heather, offering a challenging yet fair test for golfers of all abilities, with wildlife including deer and resident barn owls.
