Founded in 1899, East Herts is set across the parkland grounds of Hamels Park Estate in rolling terrain studded with ancient trees planted in the late eighteenth century. The Par 71, 6,440-yard course rewards straight hitting and poses a fair examination for mid-to-low handicappers; visitors are welcome, and the club offers substantial hospitality with a restaurant, two bars, and a halfway hut for refreshments.
