Doncaster Town Moor has occupied its heathland site on Doncaster Racecourse since 1895, when George Lambert laid out the original nine holes on what was then the Race Common. The course has expanded to 18 holes over its century-long history, maintained through the efforts of dedicated members who navigated numerous challenges, from racing fixtures to competing land uses, and now offers visitors access to grounds reputed to have some of the finest greens in South Yorkshire.
