Established in 1897 on Dartford Heath and redesigned by five-time Open Champion James Braid in 1936, this member-owned parkland and heathland course emphasises accuracy and course management through tree-lined fairways and small greens rather than distance. The 18-hole layout at approximately 5,900 yards includes the notably tough 16th, an elevated par 3 regarded as one of Kent's most demanding short holes.
