Leicestershire's oldest golf club, established in 1890, occupies a distinctive heathland course threaded amongst 620-million-year-old Hanging Stone Rocks. The layout, influenced by James Braid, plays over nine fairways and greens with eighteen tees, measuring 6,125 yards at par 69, and benefits from natural elevation and slopes that make it playable year-round. Designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest, the course blends golf with conservation, featuring heather, gorse, and ongoing habitat restoration.
