Castle Eden Golf Club is a friendly members' club in County Durham, with an 18-hole parkland course designed by Sir Henry Cotton and set within the scenic Castle Eden Dene. Originally established as The Dene Golf Club in the 1920s before opening to public membership in 1922, the course stretches 6,420 yards and features distinctive holes including a celebrated par 3 signature 17th and the challenging 8th with its 100-yard ravine carry; it welcomes visiting parties and maintains an active programme of competitions and team matches.
