Founded in 1896 and remodeled by renowned architect Harry Colt in 1927, Came Down is a downland course set in the heart of the Dorset countryside offering magnificent panoramic views. The free-draining chalk base ensures year-round playability, with fast, sloping greens that reward precision while punishing wayward approaches, and the course counts among its heritage an exhibition match between five-time Open Champion J H Taylor and his rival James Braid.
